3.3 Handling of Personal Data
I will only use your personal data with your consent and will only pass it on with your consent if permitted by law.
3.3.1 Contact details
You can find the contact form in various places on my blog. It allows you to get in touch with me very easily. This requires you to provide at least your email address so that I can reply to your message if necessary. Therefore, you must agree on the contact form that you agree to the processing and storage of your e-mail address.
3.3.2 Comments from posts and pages
In order to have the opportunity to comment or discuss my posts, there is a comment function among most posts. To leave a comment, you need to enter your name and a mail address. Your mail address will not be displayed publicly, but will be stored internally. In addition, your IP address is stored internally. This serves the general security and makes it possible to take appropriate action against it in the event of illegalities. Therefore, you have to agree to the processing and storage of your data with a check mark. The storage of this data is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 lit. f GDPR) for security on my blog.
I offer a monthly newsletter. To receive it, it is necessary to enter your e-mail address. You will then receive an e-mail in which you will have to confirm receipt of the newsletter again. This is the legal basis for processing and using your e-mail address as part of the newsletter. At the end of each newsletter you will find the opportunity to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Logging off will cause your data to be deleted.
The newsletter is sent via the provider MailChimp. A corresponding order processing contract is available.
You have the opportunity to subscribe to individual comments and posts, as well as my entire blog, to be kept up to date with new features. This also requires your consent to consent to the processing and storage of your data. You will receive a confirmation email in which you must first confirm your subscription.
3.4 Google Analytics
As part of the order data processing agreement that I have concluded with Google Inc., the latter uses the collected information to carry out an evaluation of website usage and activity and provides services related to Internet usage. However, the IP addresses sent to Google for this purpose will be truncated and will no longer be related to your person. More precisely, this means that Google can only understand from which country the access came through through this IP anonymization. The anonymized data is stored by Google for 14 months.
You have the option to prevent the storage of cookies on your device by making appropriate settings in your browser. You are not guaranteed to be able to access all features of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies. 3.5 Use of Social Media Plug-ins
On posts and pages of my blog you will find the possibility to share them on different social networks below. For this I use the plug-in "Shariff", which is absolutely GDPR compliant and does not transfer your data to the social networks without being asked. Only by clicking on the respective button do you actively decide to connect to the corresponding network.
Data is thus only exchanged with the social network by clicking on the respective sharing button. More information about Shariff can be found here.
On the bottom podcast.daydreamer-kev.de (or blog.daydreamer-kev.de/podcast) content from Spotify (Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, SE-111 53 Stockholm, Sweden) is included. In this case, a privacy notice is displayed that requires re-consent. The video can then be played within my blog or with a link directly on YouTube.
The interactive stories on my blog are displayed via iFrame from my own server.
3.8 Surveys on my blog
Some articles include surveys to enable interactions with readers and to illustrate opinion images.
Surveys are created with the plug-in PinPoll, a service of PinPoll GmbH, Hopfengasse 3, 4020 Linz. They are data processors according to GDPR, a contract processing contract is available.
3.9 Security on my blog
To secure my blog against pests and unauthorized access, I use iThemes Security, a plug-in of iThemes Media LLC, 2703 Ena Drive, Lansing, MI 48917, USA. If necessary, this stores your IP address on my database,
- to protect my blog from attackers who try to guess the credentials to my blog,
- to lock out attackers from my blog and protect them from pests.
The storage is based on the legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 lit. f GDPR) for the security of my blog and readers.
3.10 User's Rights: Inspection, Rectification and Deletion
As a user of my blog, you have the opportunity to find out for free which personal data has been stored by you at any time. You also have the right to request the deletion or correction of this data if this does not conflict with a legal obligation to retain data (e.B. data retention).
4. Participation in sweepstakes
Participation in sweepstakes on this blog is generally free of charge. The individual terms and conditions of each competition are defined directly and defined under the sweepstakes. This includes any requirements for participation in the competition, as well as the participation period.
In principle, every reader of my blog who lives in Germany is allowed to participate. In the case of underage participants, a written declaration of consent from the legal guardian must be obtained. If the prize is tied to a minimum age by any age restrictions, this defines the minimum age for participation in the competition.
In principle, winners will be notified by e-mail. As part of this notification, we will also be informed about data protection. The following applies that participation in the competition is always voluntary and only after consent for the processing and storage of personal data such as name, e-mail address and IP address, which are collected, for example, when commenting on a contribution (see 3.3.2).
In order to distribute the prize, it is also necessary to provide a valid postal address, which must be sent by e-mail. At this point, I would like to make it clear once again that data transmission on the Internet can be considered as a matter of security and that full protection of this data cannot be achieved. The data is only needed and used by me for the delivery of the profit and then deleted.
Legal redress is excluded.
4.1 Sweepstakes "The Tribute of Panem"
The competition starts on April 21, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. and ends on May 30, 2020 at 12:00. The winners will be drawn immediately afterwards and notified by e-mail. For this purpose, it is mandatory to provide a valid e-mail address when commenting with the solution word under the corresponding article. If the winner does not reply within 72 hours to the mail notifying them of their winnings, a new winner will be drawn. The previously drawn winner will no longer be entitled to the prize.
All persons who are at least 18 years of age at the time of their participation are eligible to participate. In addition, only persons whose postal address is in Germany or Austria are allowed to participate. Participation from other countries is permitted if the participant pays the shipping costs.
In order to enter the competition, the competition question must be answered correctly. The solution must be left as a comment ary under the corresponding contributions (World Book Day or Panem X) in order to participate in the raffle. It is possible to increase the chance of winning with a total of three more lots:
- Follow @DaydreamerKev on Twitter.
- Follow Daydreamer-Kev on Facebook.
- Subscribe to the newsletter.
In order to be able to perceive the increased chance of winning, the comment must have the appropriate options in addition to the solution word. The additional lots will only be awarded to participants who have not yet fulfilled the relevant option before participating – i.e. previously on one of the channels was not a follower of Daydreamer-Kev.
A total of three prize packages will be raffled off, all of which have the same content: a jute bag, stickers and a button, and Volume 1 "The Tribute of Panem – Deadly Games". If you have won one of the three packages, it is not possible to win another package with another lot, even if you have received several lots due to the above options.
The winnings cannot be exchanged or paid out in cash. It is not possible to transfer the prize to another person. Legal redress is excluded.
